COMPARISON; A THIEF OF JOY EP. 4

"Oh My God!" was the word that escaped my mouth.
Yes, if you guessed, you got it right. It was Shalewa, yes, that one I met yesterday. She was the lecturer we were waiting for. I screamed and 'scromed' inside of me, guy, my soul left my body for a while. It took the voices of my friends to get myself together. I looked up and greeted Segun and Omobolanle, they noticed the shock on my face and asked what was wrong with me and that they've been waiting and calling out for me since what looked like forever. I shook myself off and told them I would gist them later.

"Good Morning everyone, trust you all are doing great?" she started with. "Welcome to a new calendar semester, my name is Aderoti Omoshalewa and I will be your lecturer for PHS 201. So let's start by me knowing your names, starting from my left hand side". The first lady on the row started with her name, and it went on and on until she got to my row and my table. My soul left my body for another minute, then she spoke instead of me, "hi Lanre, how are you doing?", "I'm fine ma", I answered, she smiled and left my table to continue what she was doing. She ended  the introduction with "welcome everyone, I hope you all are ready for this course?" We all choroused "Yes ma". She gave out the course outlines, what to expect in subsequent classes and ended the class with "Lanre, you'll be the course representative for this course". I was shocked as I wasn't expecting that she would remember my name and also make me a C.R out of nowhere. How do I even explain that I love this lady at the first sight?

I was still in my thought when I heard her say, "Lanre, please do well to help me with all of these things". I reluctantly stood up from my seat with Segun and Omobola almost forgetting to get their surprise-filled eyes off me but I knew they were patiently waiting for me to get back. I nevertheless did as instructed and my thoughts reiterated; "this isn't what I was expecting. How do I want to tell people, especially my friends that I like my lecturer and that this same lecturer kept me really close to her?" I shook it off and continued to follow her until we got to her office. I dropped the things I carried on the table as she instructed and took my leave.
Getting to the class, everyone in class had moved on with what they know how to do best when there's no lecturer except for Segun and Omobola patiently waiting for me to return to class and give them the full gist.

Immediately they sighted me, Segun dragged me towards the tree behind the class as Omobolanle followed. We all sat down and Omobolanle for the first time voiced out, "guy, oya start to dhe spill, we dhe hear you before I just strangle you comot words from your mouth" with so much expectations in her expression.. I smiled and glanced at both of them and I remembered how I first met these guys on campus.

"Hello, hi, hello bros", I heard the voice I've been hearing from afar near me and a hand holding my hand and I looked down to a human trying to catch his breath. I could not but path him on his back to help him catch enough breath. After a few minutes, he stood straight and said, "hi bro, how are you, my name is Oluwasegun Adebambola, how about you?" "Hi, I'm fine. My name is Olanrewaju Olaosebikan, and how may I help you?" "Please, I'm going to the department of anatomy and I can't find my way. Can you please direct me?" "Oh, now that we are two, let's look for it together. I am tired of walking alone", I answered him and we started the department hunt journey.
After we walked a few miles, we heard a beautiful but really tired and slightly frustrated voice, "good afternoon brothers"...
